PID controller is an extremely important type of controller. In this paper the Differential Evolution technique, is successfully applied in system PID tuning and on–line tuning as a novel technique for optimum adaptive control. The details of applying the proposed method are given and the experiments done show that the proposed strategy is effective and robust.
