Abstract Nanoscaled-VPO (vanadium phosphate oxide) catalysts have been prepared on an alumina support with the objective of obtaining crystallites active phase a high surface-to-volume ratio. Since catalysed reaction occurs at surface, these nanoscaled allows studying surface species transformations minimized signal from bulk dominion. The chemical environment and oxidation state has determined...

A highly ion-selective membrane for vanadium redox flow batteries (VRBs) consisting of sulfonated poly(arylene ether ketone) (SPAEK) and polyoxometalate coupled with a graphene oxide was designed and fabricated. The SPAEK/PW-mGO composite membrane showed an effectively low self-discharge rate and excellent Coulombic efficiency (98.73%) in VRBs.

The reactions of neutral vanadium oxide clusters with alkenes (ethylene, propylene, 1-butene, and 1,3-butadiene) are investigated by experiments and density function theory (DFT) calculations. Single photon ionization through extreme ultraviolet radiation (EUV, 46.9 nm, 26.5 eV) is used to detect neutral cluster distributions and reaction products. In the experiments, we observe products (V(2)O...

! Manganese oxide hollow spheres with approximate MnO2 stoichiometry were synthesized by aqueous precipitation with a redox reaction between Mn(II) and MnO4– in the presence of butyric acid. The butyric acid acts as a structure-directing agent, reducing the average particle size of the materials, while also acting as a soft template for the spheres to form. This is possible because butyric acid...

abstract: electrical sensitivity of a beryllium oxide nanotube (beont) was examined toward (c5h5n) molecule by using density functional theory (dft) calculations at the b3lyp/6-31(d) level, and it was found that the adsorption energy (ead) of pyridine on the pristine nanotubes is   a bout -73.29kcal/mol. but when nanotubes has been doped with s and p atomes , the adsorption energy changed . cal...

Nanotubes have significant portions of their atoms located at the surfaces and represent the future of biological devices. With such small dimensions, sensitivities and applications previously impossible are being made real. Not all nanomaterials are currently at the same level of proficiency, however. Carbon nanotubes are a mature, easily grown and controlled nanostructure, but boron nitride a...
