A vertex dominating path in a graph is a path P such that every vertex outside P has a neighbor on P . In 1988 H. Broersma stated a result implying that every n-vertex kconnected graph G such that σ(k+2)(G) ≥ n− 2k − 1 contains a dominating path. We show that every n-vertex k-connected graph with σ2(G) ≥ 2n k+2 + f(k) contains a dominating path of length at most O(|T |), where T is a minimum do...

A random intersection graph is constructed by independently assigning a subset of a given set of objects W, to each vertex of the vertex set V of a simple graph G. There is an edge between two vertices of V, iff their respective subsets(in W ,) have at least one common element. The strong threshold for the connectivity between any two arbitrary vertices of vertex set V, is derived. Also we dete...

A triangulation is said to be even if each vertex has even degree. For even triangulations, define the N -flip and the P2-flip as two deformations preserving the number of vertices. We shall prove that any two even triangulations on the sphere with the same number of vertices can be transformed into each other by a sequence of N and P2-flips.

We show that, for all choices of integers k > 2 and m, there are simple 3connected k-crossing-critical graphs containing more than m vertices of each even degree ≤ 2k − 2. This construction answers one half of a question raised by Bokal, while the other half asking analogously about vertices of odd degrees at least 7 in crossing-critical graphs remains open. Furthermore, our newly constructed g...

We give results for the age dependent distribution of vertex degree and number of vertices of given degree in the undirected web-graph process, a discrete random graph process introduced in [8]. For such processes we show that as k → ∞, the expected proportion of vertices of degree k has power law parameter 1+1/η where η is the limiting ratio of the expected number of edge endpoints inserted by...

We answer a question of Jockusch by showing that the measure of the Turing degrees which satisfy the cupping property is 0. In fact, every 2-random degree has a strong minimal cover, and so fails to satisfy the cupping

for a simple digraph $g$ of order $n$ with vertex set${v_1,v_2,ldots, v_n}$, let $d_i^+$ and $d_i^-$ denote theout-degree and in-degree of a vertex $v_i$ in $g$, respectively. let$d^+(g)=diag(d_1^+,d_2^+,ldots,d_n^+)$ and$d^-(g)=diag(d_1^-,d_2^-,ldots,d_n^-)$. in this paper we introduce$widetilde{sl}(g)=widetilde{d}(g)-s(g)$ to be a new kind of skewlaplacian matrix of $g$, where $widetilde{d}(g...

The geometric-arithmetic index is another topological index was defined as 2 deg ( )deg ( ) ( ) deg ( ) deg ( ) G G uv E G G u v GA G u v     , in which degree of vertex u denoted by degG (u). We now define a new version of GA index as 4 ( ) 2 ε ( )ε ( ) ( ) ε ( ) ε ( ) G G e uv E G G G u v GA G   u v    , where εG(u) is the eccentricity of vertex u. In this paper we compute this new t...

‎a set $s$ of vertices of a graph $g=(v,e)$ without isolated vertex‎ ‎is a {em total dominating set} if every vertex of $v(g)$ is‎ ‎adjacent to some vertex in $s$‎. ‎the {em total domatic number} of‎ ‎a graph $g$ is the maximum number of total dominating sets into‎ ‎which the vertex set of $g$ can be partitioned‎. ‎we show that the‎ ‎total domatic number of a random $r$-regular graph is almost‎...

Let $G=(V,E)$ be a simple connectedgraph with $n$ vertices, $m$ edges and sequence of vertex degrees$d_1 ge d_2 ge cdots ge d_n>0$, $d_i=d(v_i)$, where $v_iin V$. With $isim j$ we denote adjacency ofvertices $v_i$ and $v_j$. The generalsum--connectivity index of graph is defined as $chi_{alpha}(G)=sum_{isim j}(d_i+d_j)^{alpha}$, where $alpha$ is an arbitrary real<b...
