Operational Amplifier (op-amp) is a basic building block of many analog and mixed signal systems. Many different types of op-amp are used to achieve various functions, such as DC biasing, high speed amplifying, reduced voltage supply, high gain. To achieve these parameter successfully there are several techniques. The op-amp contains two stages to increase gain and improve slew rate, voltage swi...

This paper shows that correlated level shifting (CLS) technique can be successfully used in the comparator based integrators with the same benefits as in the conventional integrators. With help of CLS technique the signal dependent variation reduces by making current source work in the more voltage headroom region thus an output impedance of the current source is increasing. The latter leads to...

The aim of this research study has been to design a gain scheduling (GS) digital controller in order to control the voltage of an islanded microgrid in the presence of fast varying loads (FVLs), and to compare it to a robust controller. The inverter which feeds the microgrid is connected to it through an inductance-capacitor-inductance (LCL) filter. The oscillatory and nonlinear behaviour of th...

This paper proposes a pulsed power generator which consists of two types of switched-capacitor booster modules. A doubling mode module employed to elevate the input voltage to a specified level and, constant mode module is used to increase the elevated voltage into the finally intended bipolar output voltage. Also, the proposed modular structure does not utilize any switches across the load. Ot...

Abstract— This paper proposes a new type of converter called Single Phase Z-source Matrix Converter (SPZMC). The SPZMC is an ac-to-ac converter device. Simulated using diode bridge bidirectional switch cell. The simulation is performed in different loads with fixed input and variable output frequency. Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) switching strategy is used to obtain the variable frequency. The ...

Logic compatible gain cell (GC)-embedded DRAM (eDRAM) arrays are considered an alternative to SRAM due to their small size, nonratioed operation, low static leakage, and two-port functionality. However, traditional GC-eDRAM implementations require boosted control signals in order to write full voltage levels to the cell to reduce the refresh rate and shorten access times. These boosted levels r...

This paper presents a novel interleaved converter (NIC) with extra-high voltage gain to process the power of low-voltage renewable-energy generators such as photovoltaic (PV) panel, wind turbine, and fuel cells. The NIC can boost a low input voltage to a much higher voltage level to inject renewable energy to DC bus for grid applications. Since the NIC has two circuit branches in parallel at fr...

An additional stage for a Low Voltage Lazzaro’s Winner Take All (WTA) circuit is introduced. It allows lowering the voltage supply requirements so that it can be functional in fine line CMOS technology. Electrical measurements of a prototype in CMOS 0.5μm technology verify the operation of the WTA circuit with VDD = 1.5V. Simulations in PSpice and stability issues are presented as well.

A CMOS low-voltage, wide-band continuous-time current amplifier is presented. Based on an open-loop topology, the circuit is composed by transresistance and transconductance stages built around triode-operating transistors. In addition to an extended dynamic range, the amplifier gain can be programmed within good accuracy by the rapport between the aspect-ratio of such transistors and tuning bi...

A new topology for a LVLP variable-gain CMOS amplifier is presented. Inputand load-stage are built around triode-transconductors so that voltage-gain is fully defined by a linear relationship involving only device-geometries and biases. Excellent gain-accuracy, temperature-insensitivity and wide range of programmability are thus achieved. Moreover, adaptative biasing improves the common-mode vo...
