Abstract The whole process of concrete slump experiment was simulated with Particle Flow Code 3 Dimensions (PFC3D) software based on discrete element simulation. simulation results are in good agreement the macroscopic obtained from field experiments, indicating that use PFC for had feasibility have a observation speed and direction particles slump.

Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC), is a concrete with zero slump, which is used in damming and road pavement. Roller Compacted Concrete Pavement (RCCP) bear heavy traffic loads and severe weather conditions. This type of concrete is due to its economic and environmental capabilities, including reduced construction and maintenance costs, longer durability and longer lifetime, as well as environmen...

In this research, 210 concrete cube specimens (15cm) were made replacing 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 50, and 60 percent of slag powder from Isfahan Steel Mill for cement. The control specimens were made with 350 kg/m3 cement content and the water cement ratio in all specimens was 0.51. The Slump value and compressive strength of concrete specimens in 7, 28 and 90 days were obtained and th...

Roller-Compacted Concrete (RCC) is a zero-slump concrete, with no forms, reinforcing steel, finishing and wet enough to support compaction by vibratory rollers. Because the effectiveness of curing on properties durability, primary scope this research study effect various methods (air curing, emulsified asphalt(flan coat) 7 days water permanent curing) different porcelanite (local material used ...

How should fiscal policy be conducted in the presence of default risk? We address this question using a sovereign default model with nominal rigidities. An increase in government spending during a recession stimulates economic activity and reduces unemployment. During the long economic slump in Japan, monetary policy in Japan has essentially consisted of a very low interest rate (since 1995), a zero interest rate (since 1999), and quantitative easing (since 2001). The intention seems to have been to lower expectations of future interest rates. But the problem in a liquidity trap (when the zero lower bound on the central bank's instrument rate is stric...
