nowadays,tourism industry considered as one of the main sources of income of a country.unfortunately and despite of owning plenty of cultural historical and natural attractions, iran has not reached to a proper position in this field. besides, the historical cities of a country are considered as the income resource and national wealth of it. qazvin with a rich cultural precedent, have suitable backgrounds to spread tourism.this essay is prepared to consider the effective factors in absorbing tourists. these factors can be categorized into substructures, installations and dwelling equipment, advertisement and marketing. people participation and private parts and governmental support. with the usage of documented studies and also survey of public opinion, experts, and tourism managers,it became evident that "qazvin" nonetheless of having the potential and lots of historical and monumental sites, is unsuccessful in attracting tourists. this fact has some causes such as: the lack of tourism infrastructures and utilities, unequipped urban skeleton, the lack of proper investments in urban tourism, inappropriate advertising system, and etc. at last the proper remedies and strategies are given in order to fully equip the urban skeleton of qazvin for supporting tourists in the areas and sites which have the strong tourism potentials, the improvement of getting funds and investments in urban tourism industry, advertising for attracting tourists to qazvin, and overall the economic growth and a sustainable income source for the city.
