regarding the ever evolving and improving world on different aspects of knowledge, the need to a worldwide communication would emerge stronger than ever before which calls for special attention on the judgments and best choices for intermediating between the nations. as the language skills for translation are tested separately from translation skills themselves, to assess translation skills properly, a translation test that measures the individual’s ability to exercise the congruity in judgment and apply a translation methodology successfully must be used. in this regard a test based on bell’s translation model was constructed on which the foundation difficulty level measured regarding the bloom’s cognitive taxonomy. the study was conducted through a group of fifty six homogenized students who were also tested on their text translation performance as well. bloom’s cognitive taxonomy, bell’s translation model and waddington’s tqa method applied in the research as the needed instrumentations. after grasping the idea of translators working domain and preparing some international texts on the field, once the raters corrected and scored the translated texts, the relation between the newly constructed test based on instrumentations and the students translation performance compared, showing that the higher the test score, the better performance observed on the text translation. as the final statistics analyzed by use of computer softwares and specially spss program with the lowest possibility on the error and deviations, the hypothesis of the research has been proved that “the constructed test predicts the translation performance of english ma graduates on legal correspondence and deeds significantly with the chronological classification use of bloom’s taxonomy and bell’s translation model”. in the same way, the research could be of valuable importance and benefit for pedagogical implications to help the improvement of the training courses on the field to educate better and more knowledgeable translators in translation profession. the significance of the study lies in the fact that all the tests in use at the time being, evaluate the translation performance mostly selectively on language proficiency skills much more than the translation itself while the present study focused on the translation performance evaluation on a specific category of legal correspondence and deeds for the most accurate and feasible results.
