The Effect of Managers' Communication Skills on Organizational Commitment among Employees of the Headquarters of Health Centers in Kermanshah Province in 1397

Background: Communication is a vital and dynamic process in an organization, and effective communication can become one of the most important goals of organizations. Findings show that communication skills as one of the essential skills of managers affects employees' commitment. Organizational commitment is a factor that increases the interest and attachment of an individual to an organization. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of communication skills on commitment in the headquarters of health centers in Kermanshah province. Materials and Methods: This is a cross-sectional descriptive-analytic study. The statistical population consisted of the staff of the health centers of Kermanshah province, 250 of whom were selected as the statistical sample. Data collection tools were three standard questionnaires including demographic-skills Communication and organizational commitment. Data analysis was performed by correlation and regression analysis using SPSS software. Results: The results indicate that there is a direct and significant relationship between communication skills and organizational commitment. In addition, the average of communication skills of managers and organizational commitment of employees was evaluated in average. Conclusion: It seems that managers need to strengthen their communication skills in order to increase their penetration. By paying attention to employee participation in decision making and using appropriate incentive systems, they try to increase the commitment of employees.
