Abstract Boundary layer ingestion (BLI) potentially offers significant reductions in fuel burn and pollutant emissions. The propulsive fuselage concept features a fan at the back of airframe that ingests 360 deg boundary layer. Consequently, distortion face during cruise is close to radial. This article aims devise test design philosophy tuned this inflow distortion. Initially, free-vortex matc...

A hybrid method of subgrid FDTD(2,2) with FDTD(2,4) is presented. Both the standard FDTD(2,2) as well as the hybrid technique are applied to shielding effectiveness analysis of a scaled model of a Boeing 757. Also, analysis of EMI generated by personal electronic devices is performed on the same scaled fuselage model.

The results of in-flight experiments to determine the structure sound field in cabin and pressure fluctuation fields on surface fuselage RRJ-95NEW-100 prototype aircraft are presented here. Wall spectrums obtained for three zones measuring windows (forward, center, rear fuselage) cruising flight mode. effect jet levels tail is considered. For an without interior, contribution main sources total...

The paper presents the results of simulation unsteady turbulent flow generated by helicopter main rotor in presence fuselage with an emphasis on analysis influence rotor-induced and rotor-generated acoustic field. Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes equations Spalart–Allmaras turbulence model are used to simulate Caradonna–Tung ROBIN interaction hovering flight. governing discretized using vertex-c...

The effects of pre-pressurization on blast-loaded reinforced rectangular aluminum plates were studied experimentally. In this study, small (0.508 x 0.609 x 0.0016 meter) clamped plates with rivet attached reinforcing members were used as a basic model of the fuselage skin of a commercial aircraft. Both un-pressurized and pre-pressurized plates (static pressure of 41.4 kPa (6.0 psi)) were consid...
