0615 Racial/Ethnic and Sex Differences in Circadian Rest-Activity Rhythm Patterns: Findings from a Sample of the US Population

Abstract Introduction Circadian disruptions are associated with increased risk for morbidity and mortality. However, it is unclear whether these associations vary by race/ethnicity. We aim to explore, 1) Examine rest-activity rhythm (RAR) patterns across race/ethnicity among a representative sample of the US adult population, 2) interaction sex in RAR patterns. Methods The study was based on National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (2013–2014) data from participants who wore physical activity monitor (PAM ActiGraph accelerometer model GT3X+) continuously seven consecutive days. After excluding pregnant those sleep minutes < 120 >1200, analytic included 4,722 adults. cosinor method used PAM time-series outcome variables: mesor, amplitude, acrophase. robustness. main predictor interest (Asian, Black, Hispanic, multi/other, White).
