چکیده
Cutaneous T cell lymphoma (CTCL) is a complex and heterogenous disease with range of pathogenic, diagnostic, prognostic therapeutic courses. Broadly, CTCL characterized by cutaneous infiltrates aberrant monocolonal T-lymphocytes. Clinically histopathologically, often mimics psoriasis, eczema other benign dermatoses. Diagnosis delayed 4-6 years from the time lesions initially appear, typically requires multiple skin biopsies blood tests. In this study, we employed non-invasive adhesive patches to collect samples lesional (n=12) psoriasis (n=10) patients as well non-lesional healthy volunteers. From these samples, derived total RNA, generated cDNA, subjected material qPCR gene expression analysis for 14 genes purposes detecting distinguishing it psoriasis. Of in our panel, 6 differentiated defined statistically significant (p < 0.05) differential expression. Four involved T-cell signaling function panel (including 2 vs. subset) reliably 0.05), an additional 4 showed trends approaching statistical significance, highlighting importance repeating study on larger cohorts. Overall, results indicate potential applying genomic test detection differentiation inflammatory dermatoses such Such could obviate need invasive testing, allow earlier CTCL, make interventions treatments more cost-effective.

Pixel-Based Skin Detection for Pornography Filtering
A robust skin detector is the primary need of many fields of computer vision, including face detection, gesture recognition, and pornography filtering. Less than 10 years ago, the first paper on automatic pornography filtering was published. Since then, different researchers claim different color spaces to be the best choice for skin detection in pornography filtering. Unfortunately, no com...
متن کاملMolecular Diagnosis in Autoimmune Skin Blistering Conditions
Blister formation in skin and mucous membranes results from a loss of cell-cell or cell-matrix adhesion and is a common outcome of pathological events in a variety of conditions, including autoimmune and genetic diseases, viral and bacterial infections, or injury by physical and chemical factors. Autoantibodies against structural components maintaining cell-cell and cell-matrix adhesion induce ...
متن کاملIncreasing use of non-traditional vehicles for psoriasis and other inflammatory skin conditions.
BACKGROUND Although topical corticosteroid ointments were once viewed as the best vehicle for treating inflammatory skin diseases, the recognition of the problem of poor compliance and patients' preferences for other vehicles has led to the development of corticosteroid products in alternative formulations. OBJECTIVE To describe patterns of use of newer vehicle formulations including foams, s...
متن کاملNon-Invasive Diagnostic Methods for Differentiation of Biliary Atresia from Neonatal Hepatitis in Upper Egypt
Background Cholestatic jaundice in infancy is always pathologic and mainly caused by biliary atresia (BA), and neonatal hepatitis (NH). The early discrimination of both conditions is critical for the outcome of BA. We aimed to assess different non-invasive diagnostic tools in differentiating BA from NH. Materials and Methods Forty infants (25 boys, 15 girls) with cholestatic jaundice and final...
