• 2D nano-leaf-like porous copper nitrate hydroxide (LPCNH) is facilely fabricated. Combination of LPCNH/TEMPO efficiently converts HMF to DFF with high selectivities. The reaction time for 60 min at 100 °C could achieve > C = 96% and S DDF 100%. At 140 °C, a significantly Y 99.5% surpasses almost all reported values.
