Sexu hormonek eragina dute garunaren garapenean, egituretan eta funtzionamenduan, eta, ondorioz, gizakion jokaeran. Haurdunaldiko hormona-esposizio mailen adierazle bat da 2D:4D indizea. Indize honen fidagarritasunaren inguruko ikerketek erakutsi dutenez, indizea neurtzeko metodo fidagarria ordenagailuko irudien analisirako programak erabiltzea. Hau horrela izanik ere, ez dago adostasunik erabili beharreko programa egokienaren inguruan. Lan helburuak bi dira: ratioa diren softwareen fidagarritasuna aztertzea (behatzaile-barneko behatzaile arteko fidagarritasunari erreparatuz) neurketen ekonomia ezagutzea.
