چکیده
Background and Importance: Diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis (DISH) can compress the trachea esophagus when located in cervical spine. In this report, we investigated whether it is preferable to perform early surgical intervention symptomatic patients or wait administer supportive care late regardless of symptoms progress not. Case Presentation: We present case a 70-year-old patient with diffuse causing significant dysphagia unilateral vocal cord paresis, resulting dyspnea stridor. Imaging diagnostics revealed large osteophytes anterior spine from C3 C6 compressing Significant clinical improvement was observed following resection patient's osteophytes. Conclusion: order achieve higher success less recurrence, earlier disease's progression. However, more studies are necessary confirm because most results report articles have evidence.
