چکیده

Land-use changes have profound effects on both socio-economic development and the environment. As a result, to optimize land-use planning management, models are often employed identify patterns their associated driving forces. In this work, physical socioeconomic factors within Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration (YRDUA) from 2000 2015 were identified, integrated, used as foundation for CLUMondo model. Subsequently, Markov model combined predict in 2035. Natural growth (NG), economic (ED), ecological protection (EP), coordinated social (CSE) scenarios set according date assessment. Results showed that: (1) From 2015, urban land increased by 8139.5 km2 (3.93%), paddy field decreased 7315.8 (8.78%). The Kappa coefficient of was 0.86, indicating that can be YRDUA. (2) When trend simulate landscape 2035, structure varied among four simulated scenarios. Specifically, 47.6% 39.6% 32.9% 23.2% (CSE). still primary landscape, with 35.85% NG, 36.95% ED, 37.01% EP, 36.96% CSE. Furthermore, under all scenarios, pattern tended simplify fragment, while connectivity equilibrium diminished. results provided herein intended elucidate law agglomeration aid promoting sustainable development.

Urban Land Expansion and Structural Change in the Yangtze River Delta, China

Urban development in China has attracted considerable scholarly attention. However, more work is still needed to examine and understand the mechanisms of urban land expansion, especially within the context of globalization/marketization, decentralization and urbanization. This paper analyzes urban land expansion and structural changes in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD). We find that cities in the...

Sustainable Urban Development and Land Use Change—A Case Study of the Yangtze River Delta in China

This paper introduces a sustainability assessment method for the rapidly urbanizing Yangtze River Delta in China addressing the role of land use pattern. We first calculated the sustainability component scores of 16 cities in the area in 2000 and 2005. The results showed that socioeconomic and environmental conditions improved while the performance of resource-use degraded from 2000 to 2005. We...

Satellite Monitoring of Urban Land Change in the Middle Yangtze River Basin Urban Agglomeration, China between 2000 and 2016

Detailed studies on the spatiotemporal patterns of urban agglomeration in the Middle Yangtze River Basin (MYRB) are rare. This paper analyzed the spatiotemporal patterns of urbanization in the MYRB using multi-temporal remote sensing data circa 2000, 2008 and 2016 integrated with geographic information system (GIS) techniques and landscape analysis approaches. A multi-level analysis of the rate...

The Effect of Urban Heat Island on Climate Warming in the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration in China.

The Yangtze River Delta (YRD) has experienced rapid urbanization and dramatic economic development since 1978 and the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration (YRDUA) has been one of the three largest urban agglomerations in China. We present evidence of a significant urban heat island (UHI) effect on climate warming based on an analysis of the impacts of the urbanization rate, urban population,...

Cultivated Land Change Analysis of Yangtze River Delta Region

This Paper uses MODIS data to monitor and evaluate cultivated land changes in Yangtze River Delta region. Firstly, In order to validate the veracity of the classification results by MODIS, Hangzhou city is selected as the experimental area, Spot5 and Landsat scenes in 2001 and 2005 are collected and used to conduct initial validation exercises to assess the quality of land use classification re...
