A comparative study of assessing organic matter decomposition between composting and vermicomposting process

The aim of the study was to compare efficiency organic matter degradation between composting and vermicomposting as well possibility making compost vermicompost using cattle manure. experiment conducted with two treatments, where one conventional (T1) another (T2) from sample composted materials collected at 0, 20, 40 60th day experiment. Parameter studied were dry (DM), crude fiber (CF), protein (CP), ether extract (EE), ash content samples pH temperature change during experimental period. Results found that a significant higher DM (P<0.01) in T1 compared T2. CF rate significantly T2 group. CP also (P<0.05) There no differences EE treatment groups. A typical curve active phase but more or less same whole From experiment, it is faster might be indicated beneficial than composting.
