چکیده
Background: The present study aimed to compare the accuracy between conventional MRV with 2D Time of Flight sequence versus contrast enhanced in Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis.Materials and methods: This was a hospital based ambispective that conducted from Jan 2021 Jun 2022 Department Radiodiagnosis Mahatma Gandhi Medical College Research Institute (MGMCRI), Pondicherry after obtaining approval Ethical Committee. Patients admitted MGMCRI as clinically suspected cases CVT included for study. It an study, so records patients retrospectively JAN 2019 DEC 2020 prospectively MAY Institute. Results: comprising 30 either sex.Majority participants were age group less than 25 years females (73.3%). Majority female puerperium. had headache on presentation Sensitivity specificity MR TOF diagnosing SSS thrombosis 92.31% 50% respectively. LS 79.17% 33.33% STS 100% 34.78% respectively. Conclusion: Multicentric large scale studies involving different backgrounds variable demography required clearly establish MRI investigations. performance 3D superior terms picture quality evaluation all sinuses veins. findings our contributed body data supporting advantages venography over Venography routine clinical diagnosis or exclusion acute CVT.

Pattern of magnetic resonance imaging and magnetic resonance venography changes in cerebral venous sinus thrombosis.
BACKGROUND Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis is a common but highly under-recognised condition, which is missed not only by general practitioners but also by neurologists. Computerised tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of brain alone is not sufficient to diagnose this condition. Objective of this study was to explore the pattern of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and magnetic ...
متن کاملassessment of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis using t2*-weighted gradient echo magnetic resonance imaging sequences
background: the purpose of this study is to demonstrate the advantages of gradient echo (gre) sequences in the detection and characterization of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis compared to conventional magnetic resonance sequences. methods: a total of 17 patients with cerebral venous thrombosis (cvt) were evaluated using different magnetic resonance imaging (mri) sequences. the mri sequences i...
متن کاملcontrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging in sacroiliitis
conclusion fs t2 w and ce fs t1 w sequences of axial planes were the most useful sequences in determination of active sacroiliitis. therefore, in patients with renal failure or allergy to contrast media, fs t2 wi can be obtained to detect active sacroiliitis. objectives the aim of this retrospective study was to assess the value of different magnetic resonance imaging (mri) sequences in evaluat...
