A Connectivity-Based Clustering Scheme for Intelligent Vehicles

The reliability, scalability, and stability of routing schemes are open challenges in highly evolving vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs). Cluster-based is an efficient solution to cope with the dynamic inconsistent structure VANETs. In this paper, we propose a cluster-based scheme (hereinafter referred as connectivity-based clustering), where link connectivity used metric for cluster formation head (CH) selection. Link function vehicle density transmission range proposed clustering scheme. Moreover, heuristic approach spectral optimal number formation. Lastly, appropriate selected CH based on maximum Eigen-centrality score. simulation results show that suggested performs well selections, strongly connected (STC) route selection, request messages (RRMs) discovery particular path destination. Thus, conclude valuable additions existing high networks.
