A Contract Theory Based Incentive Mechanism for Federated Learning

چکیده
Federated learning (FL) serves as a data privacy-preserved machine paradigm, and realizes the collaborative model trained by distributed clients. To accomplish an FL task, task publisher needs to pay financial incentives server offloads contributing However, it is challenging design proper for clients because privately This paper proposes contract theory-based training toward minimizing incentive budget subject being individually rational compatible in each round. We two-dimensional formally defining two private types of clients, namely quality computation effort. effectively aggregate models, contract-based aggregator proposed. analyze feasible optimal solutions proposed model. The experimental results demonstrate that framework can improve generation accuracy tasks. Moreover, generalization tasks be improved mechanism, aggregation applied.

Contract Theory for Incentive Mechanism Design in Cooperative Relaying Networks
Multiuser cooperative communication significantly improves the performance of wireless communication networks. One key challenge of multiuser cooperative communication is how to design a cooperative mechanism to incentivize potential relay nodes to help a source node in its data transmission. In this paper, to address this problem, we apply a contract-based principal-agent framework to a cognit...
متن کاملContract-Based Incentive Mechanism for Mobile Crowdsourcing Networks
Mobile crowdsourcing networks (MCNs) are a promising method of data collecting and processing by leveraging the mobile devices’ sensing and computing capabilities. However, because of the selfish characteristics of the service provider (SP) and mobile users (MUs), crowdsourcing participants only aim to maximize their own benefits. This paper investigates the incentive mechanism between the abov...
متن کاملIncentive mechanism based on cooperative advertising for cost information sharing in a supply chain with competing retailers
This paper proposes a new motivation for information sharing in a decentralized channel consisting of a single manufacturer and two competing retailers. The manufacturer provides a common product to the retailers at the same wholesale price. Both retailers add their own values to the product and distribute it to consumers. Factors such as retail prices, values added to the product, and local ad...
متن کاملSpecifying a component based active mechanism for Federated Database Systems
This paper presents an architecture of a component based active mechanism suitable for federated database systems (FDBMS), i.e., a collection of autonomous DBMS with a common understanding of their universe of discourse. The main components of the mechanism are exible event and rule services that cooperate to execute active rules. The event service allows the speciication and generation of even...
متن کاملA Novel Incentive Mechanism Based on Debt Theory for P2p File-sharing Networks
In order to solve “free rider” and “tragedy of the commons” problems in Peer-to-Peer(P2P) file sharing networks, this paper proposes a novel incentive mechanism based on debt theory and use game theory to analyze its efficiency. While trying to maximize its own utility subjected to individual rationality, every peer allocates bandwidth resources efficiently according to its debt relationships w...
