چکیده

Abstract Nowadays, manufacturing of multi-material structures requires a variety mechanical joining techniques. Mechanical processes and elements are used to meet wide range requirements, especially on versatile process chains. Most these explicitly adapted only one, specific application. This leads less flexibility chain due many different variants high costs. Changes in the boundary conditions like sheet thickness, or layers, lead need re-design over thus loss time. To overcome this drawback, an innovative approach can be use individually manufactured application-adapted (JE), so-called Friction Spun Joint Connectors (FSJC). new is based defined, friction-induced heat input during FSJC. effect increases formability initial material locally permits them its application area. gain more detailed insight into design, paper presents characterization technique with adaptive elements. The effects interactions relevant variables onto course result presented described. comprises two stages: FSJC from uniform itself. following contribution results ongoing research work includes concept, properties experimental investigations. New promising concepts further specified. These approaches utilize current knowledge expand it systematically open fields

Effect of nanoparticles addition on dissimilar joining of aluminum alloys by friction stir welding

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of adding Nano particles such as Nano Carbon Tube during Friction Stir Welding (FSW) on dissimilar Al alloy joints. More specifically, both FSW and Friction Stir Processing (FSP) were performed simultaneously to investigate the effect of adding Nano particles on mechanical properties and microstructure of the weld zone for joining AA5754-H22 a...

Reciprocal translocations in Saccharomyces cerevisiae formed by nonhomologous end joining.

Reciprocal translocations are common in cancer cells, but their creation is poorly understood. We have developed an assay system in Saccharomyces cerevisiae to study reciprocal translocation formation in the absence of homology. We induce two specific double-strand breaks (DSBs) simultaneously on separate chromosomes with HO endonuclease and analyze the subsequent chromosomal rearrangements amo...

On Joining Graphs

In the graph database literature the term “join” does not refer to an operator used to merge two graphs. In particular, a counterpart of the relational join is not present in existing graph query languages, and consequently no efficient algorithms have been developed for this operator. This paper provides two main contributions. First, we define a binary graph join operator that acts on the ver...

Study on the Joining of Titanium and Aluminum Dissimilar Alloys by Friction Stir Welding

Titanium alloy TC1 and Aluminum alloy LF6 were butt jointed and lap jointed by friction stir welding (FSW), and the influence of process parameters on formation of weld surface, cross-section morphology and strength were studied. The results show that, Titanium and Aluminum dissimilar alloy is difficult to be butt joined by FSW, and some defects such as cracks and grooves are easy to occur. Whe...
