Adaptive gradient-augmented level set method with multiresolution error estimation
A space-time adaptive scheme is presented for solving advection equations in two space dimensions. The gradient-augmented level set method using a semi-Lagrangian formulation with backward time integration is coupled with a point value multiresolution analysis using Her-mite interpolation. Thus locally refined dyadic spatial grids are introduced which are efficiently implemented with dynamic qu...

متن کاملA Semi-implicit Gradient Augmented Level Set Method
Here a semi-implicit formulation of the gradient augmented level set method is presented. The method is a hybrid Lagrangian–Eulerian method that may be easily applied in two or three dimensions. By tracking both the level set function and the gradient of the level set function, highly accurate descriptions of a moving interface can be formed. Stability is enhanced by the addition of a smoothing...
متن کاملFluid Simulation by Particle Level Set Method with an Efficient Dynamic Array Implementation on Gpu
We propose an efficient method to treat dynamic array data on Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), which is applicable to fluid simulations. Few numbers of dynamic structures have been realized on GPU since most of the previous methods store the data in texture to represent the structure and it is difficult to manage the dynamic structure on the texture. Our method uses vertex buffer object for repr...
متن کاملA computationally-efficient two-step implementation of the GLRT detector
In this paper, a new two-step implementation of the GLRT is proposed. A disadvantage of the GLRT detector is that it is more computationally complex than the simple AMF detector. Our two-step implementation of the GLRT significantly reduces the computational load with a negligible loss in detection performance.
