A frequency-domain micromagnetic simulation module based on COMSOL Multiphysics

Micromagnetic simulation is a numerical method to solve the Landau–Lifshitz–Gilbert (LLG) equation for magnetic dynamics. Most of mainstream micromagnetic packages, including object oriented framework and MuMax3, perform in time domain. Here, utilizing frequency domain capability COMSOL Multiphysics, we developed COMSOL-based module that solves LLG domain, which runs much faster more accurate than time-domain simulations. Frequency-domain ideal finding spin wave eigenmodes corresponding dispersions. We verify validity using three examples absence dipolar field, inclusion field can be incorporated by combining this with alternating current/direct current within COMSOL.
