A fully coupled Arctic sea-ice–ocean–atmosphere model (ArcIOAM v1.0) based on C-Coupler2: model description and preliminary results

Abstract. The Arctic regional coupled sea-ice–ocean–atmosphere model (ArcIOAM) has been developed to provide reliable sea ice prediction on seasonal timescales. description and implementation of ArcIOAM its preliminary results for the year 2012 are presented in this paper. In configuration, Community Coupler 2 (C-Coupler2) is used couple sea-ice–oceanic configuration MITgcm (Massachusetts Institute Technology general circulation model) with atmospheric Polar WRF (Weather Research Forecasting) model.
