A genetic algorithm for subcontractors selection and allocation in multiple building projects

In construction industry, general contractors (GCs) need to manage and conduct numerous projects simultaneously. To this aim, they usually have subcontractors available tasks projects. So, subcontractor management is becoming a major challenge. deal with challenge, GCs aim reduce total costs of including employment/subcontracting costs, indirect tardiness penalties, the money which must be paid for movement workforce from one project another. The current research study propose model selecting assigning in them order GC. Then, genetic algorithm proposed solve real problem. innovative three points view: (1) generation initial population; (2) assignment approach; (3) objective function. problem was also solved by means an exact method. results were compared outcomes This comparison shows that can efficiently help select assign each when several carried out
