A greedy reduced basis algorithm for structural acoustic systems with parameter and implicit frequency dependence

Abstract In this article, a greedy reduced basis algorithm is proposed for the solution of structural acoustic systems with parameter and implicit frequency dependence. The underlying equations linear time‐harmonic elastodynamics acoustics are discretized using finite element boundary method, respectively. within domain determined by combination vectors. This generated iteratively given responses system at certain samples. A approach followed evaluating next vector sample which currently approximated worst. runs on small training set bounds memory requirements allows applications to large‐scale problems high‐dimensional domains. computational efficiency scheme illustrated based two numerical examples: point‐excited spherical shell submerged in water satellite structure subject diffuse sound pressure field excitation.
