Interfacing Synchronous and Asynchronous Modules Within a High-Speed Pipeline
This paper describes a new technique for integrating asynchronous modules within a high-speed synchronous pipeline. Our design eliminates potential metastability problems by using a clock generated by a stoppable ring oscillator, which is capable of driving the large clock load found in present day microprocessors. Using the ATACS design tool, we designed highly optimized transistor-level circu...
متن کاملA multi-pipeline architecture for high-speed packet classification
When a packet arrives at a flow-aware router, it is subject to a number of lookup and classification operations. The packet is first checked against an access control list and/or firewall to determine whether it will be accepted or rejected. This classification function supports packet filtering and provides IPSec security associations. A second classification is used to regulate the traffic on...
متن کاملHigh Speed 3D Reconstruction by Video Image Pipeline Processing and Division of Spatio-Temporal Space
A high speed 3D reconstruction method using multiple video cameras is presented. The video cameras are set to surround the real 3D space where people exist. Reconstructed 3D space is displayed in voxel format and a user can see the space from any viewpoint with a VR viewer. We implemented a prototype system that can work out the 3D reconstruction with the speed of 7.2 fps in 560ms delay.
متن کاملA High-Speed Document Image Classifier
In this paper, a high-speed document image classification algorithm is presented. The algorithm is based on the bottom-up strategy which can successfully segment and classify any type of sophisticated layout documents without the limitation of Manhattan rules. Special techniques are employed to overcome the slow speed problem facing most of the bottomup algorithms. During segmentation process, ...
متن کاملHigh Speed Lossless Image Compression
We introduce a simple approach to lossless image compression, which makes use of SIMD vectorization at every processing step to provide very high speed on modern CPUs. This is achieved by basing the compression on delta coding for prediction and bit packing for the actual compression, allowing a tuneable tradeoff between efficiency and speed, via the block size used for bit packing. The maximum...
