Minkowski valuations on convex functions
A classification of [Formula: see text] contravariant Minkowski valuations on convex functions and a characterization of the projection body operator are established. The associated LYZ measure is characterized. In addition, a new [Formula: see text] covariant Minkowski valuation on convex functions is defined and characterized.
متن کاملA Convex Decomposition Theorem for 4-Manifolds
An exact manifold with pseudoconvex boundary (PC manifold, for short) is a compact complex manifold X, which admits a strictly pluri-subharmonic Morse function ψ, such that the set of maximum points of ψ coincides with the boundary ∂X. We prefer the term PC manifold, since the combination of words “compact Stein manifold” is likely to precipitate heart palpitations in some mathematicians. Such ...
متن کاملA Convex Decomposition Theorem for Four - Manifolds
In this article we show that every smooth closed oriented fourmanifold admits a decomposition into two submanifolds along common boundary. Each of these submanifolds is a complex manifold with pseudo-convex boundary. This imply, in particular, that every smooth closed simply-connected four-manifold is a Stein domain in the the complement of a certain contractible 2-complex.
متن کاملA note on Alexsandrov type theorem for k-convex functions
A classical result of Alexsandrov [1] asserts that convex functions in R are twice differentiable a.e., (see also [3], [8] for more modern treatments). It is well known that Sobolev functions u ∈ W , for p > n/2 are twice differentiable a.e.. The following weaker notion of convexity known as k-convexity was introduced by Trudinger and Wang [12, 13]. Let Ω ⊂ R be an open set and C(Ω) be the clas...
متن کاملA Spectral Theorem for Convex Monotone Homogeneous Maps
† ENSTA, 32 Bd. Victor, 78539 Paris Cédex 15, France. Email: [email protected] Abstract: We consider convex maps f : Rn → Rn that are monotone (i.e., that preserve the product ordering of Rn ), and non-expansive for the sup-norm. This includes convex monotone maps that are additively homogeneous (i.e., that commute with the addition of constants). We show that the fixed point set of f ,...
