A Knowledge-Driven Model to Assess Inherent Safety in Process Infrastructure

چکیده

Process safety has drawn increasing attention in recent years and been investigated from different perspectives, such as quantitative risk analysis, consequence modeling, regulations. However, rare attempts have made to focus on inherent design assessment, despite being the most cost-effective tactic its vital role sustainable development safe operation of process infrastructure. Accordingly, present research proposed a knowledge-driven model assess infrastructure under uncertainty. We first developed holistic taxonomy contributing factors into considering chemical, reaction, process, equipment, human factors, organizational concerns associated with plants. Then, we used subject matter experts, content validity ratio (CVR), index (CVI) validate data collection tools. then employed fuzzy inference system Extent Analysis (EA) method for knowledge acquisition tested steam methane-reforming plant that produces hydrogen renewable energy. The findings revealed indicators improve studied effectively support decision-making assign proper countermeasures.

A Knowledge Infrastructure Hierarchy Model

This paper explores a process view of call centres and the knowledge infrastructures that support these processes. As Call centres grow and become more complex in their function and organisation so do the knowledge infrastructures required to support their size and complexity. This study suggests a knowledge-based hierarchy of ‘advice-type’ call centres and discusses associated knowledge manage...

Development of a hierarchical fuzzy model for the analysis of inherent safety focused on process simulation

Inherent safety (IS) has been recognized as a design approach useful to remove or reduce hazards at the source instead of controlling them with add-on protective barriers (as in the case of extrinsic safety). However, inherent safety is based on qualitative principles that cannot easily be evaluated and analyzed, and this is one of the major difficulties for the systematic application and quant...

Process-driven Approaches to Knowledge Transformation

In this paper we focus on specific approaches to knowledge transformation within the educational domain. Our approaches can be briefly characterized as processdriven, because the core concepts are educational processes and semantic representations of them. In this paper we present two alternative ways of using process models for knowledge transfer in educational domain. First one is deductive a...

A Semantic Infrastructure for a Knowledge Driven Sensor Web

Sensor Web researchers are currently investigating middleware to aid in the dynamic discovery, integration and analysis of vast quantities of high quality, but distributed and heterogeneous earth observation data. Key challenges being investigated include dynamic data integration and analysis, service discovery and semantic interoperability. However, few efforts deal with the management of both...

Application of Health Belief Model to assess Knowledge and Attitude of Women Regarding Preconception Care

Background & aim: Effective preconception care requires childbearing women's knowledge and attitude to improve maternal and neonatal health by the early recognition of risk factors related to pregnancy. The aim of this study was to investigate knowledge and attitude of Iranian women regarding preconception health based on the health belief model. Meth...
