A Linear Parameter Varying Strategy Based Integral Sliding Mode Control Protocol Development and Its Implementation on Ball and Beam Balancer

An Integral Sliding Mode (ISM) based robustified Linear Parameter Varying (LPV) control is presented for a laboratory scale ball on beam balancer system. The inherent input channel nonlinearity and under-actuated coupled dynamics make it challenging problem. ISM control, being famous reaching phase elimination, operates under the action of which usually an algebraic sum continuous discontinuous component. In design component, LPV form used to linearize otherwise non linearizable nonlinearity. Hence, designed cope with varying dynamics. On other hand, component diminishes effect norm bounded matched disturbances. addition, made smooth (chattering free) in order generate signal. stability proposed algorithm rigorously terms theorem validated experimentally.
