چکیده
Context. Growing evidence has indicated that the global composition distribution plays an indisputable role in interpreting observational data. Three-dimensional general circulation models (GCMs) with a reliable treatment of chemistry and clouds are particularly crucial preparing for upcoming observations. In attempts to achieve 3D chemistry-climate modeling, challenge mainly lies expensive computing power required treating large number chemical species reactions. Aims. Mini-buckets: a general scheme for approximating inference
The paper describes a class of approximation algorithms that apply the idea of local inference, known as i-consistency in constraint networks, to combinatorial optimization and to probabilistic reasoning. Our approach is based on bucket elimination [13] and o ers adjustable levels of accuracy and e ciency. We identify regions of completeness and demonstrate promising empirical results obtained ...

15 صفحه اولA Moist Benchmark Calculation for Atmospheric General Circulation Models
A benchmark calculation is designed to compare the climate and climate sensitivity of atmospheric general circulation models (AGCMs). The experimental setup basically follows that of the aquaplanet experiment (APE) proposed by Neale and Hoskins, but a simple mixed layer ocean is embedded to enable air–sea coupling and the prediction of surface temperature. In calculations with several AGCMs, th...
متن کاملDroplet-Based Microfluidic Scheme for Complex Chemical Reactions
Liquid flow in microfluidic channels typically occurs at low Reynolds numbers, such that the flow is purely laminar [Solomon et al. 2003; Oddy et al. 2001]. As a consequence, two or more streams of miscible fluids flowing side-by-side only mix by diffusion. Such a mixing is very slow and it would be difficult to perform chemical reactions within the typical length scales respectively time scale...
متن کاملEstimation and Analysis of Caspian Region's Future Rainfalls by Using General Atmospheric Circulation Models.
In recent years, the severe fluctuations in precipitation have affected various parts of the country. On the southern coasts of the Caspian Sea, precipitation as one of the important climatic parameters has undergone changes due to global climate change. In the present study, we tried to evaluate the effect of climate change on rainfall in this region by applying a suitable model. In this study...
