A Model Based LCL-Type Grid Connected Converter Under Balanced and Unbalanced Faults in a Micro-Grid Distributed Generation

This research was conducted to verify the significance of LCL-filter on grid current and impact variable fault resistance values reactive power genereated in a grid-tied inverter. The stability LCL-type connected inverter with capacitor feedback active damping state evaluated this paper. effects balanced unbalanced faults studied through simulation at different 0.00025Ω 2.5Ω. FFT waveforms showed that THD 48.56% 38.45% were achieved for voltage 2.5Ω while 9.50% 4.41% obtained varied coefficient (KCP) 4.75 14.75. Simulation results also very negligible real gained zero within zone resistance. At resistance, sag produced which accounted transient response generated absorbed during period. result from root-locus plot loci derived transfer function intersected +j 8.734 -j makes system marginally stable All procedures realized MATLAB/SIMULINK 2015.
