Molecular-beam epitaxy enables ultrathin functional materials to be combined in heterostructures create emergent phenomena at the interface. Magnetic skyrmions are an example of exciting phase found such heterostructures. SrRuO3 and SrRuO3-based have been center debate on whether a hump-like feature appearing Hall resistivities is sufficient evidence prove presence material. To address ambiguity, we synthesize model heterostructure with engineered Berry curvature that combines, parallel, positive anomalous effect (AHE) channel (a Sr0.6Ca0.4RuO3 layer) negative AHE layer). We demonstrate two opposite channels can artificially reproduce “hump-like” feature, which closely resembles typically attributed topological chiral spin textures, as skyrmions. compare our parallel resistor model, where inputs data from individual films. check for skyrmions, measure current dependence, angle minor loop dependence Rhump heterostructure.
