A Multi-Dimensional Matrix Pencil-Based Channel Prediction Method for Massive MIMO With Mobility

This paper addresses the mobility problem in massive multiple-input multiple-output systems, which leads to significant performance losses practical deployment of fifth generation mobile communication networks. We propose a novel channel prediction method based on multi-dimensional matrix pencil (MDMP), estimates path parameters by exploiting angular-frequency-domain and angular-time-domain structures wideband channel. The MDMP also entails pairing scheme pair delay Doppler, super-resolution property angle estimation. Our is able deal with realistic constraint time-varying delays introduced user movements, has not been considered so far literature. prove theoretically that scenario delays, error converges zero increasing number base station (BS) antennas, providing only two arbitrary samples are known. derive lower-bound BS antennas achieve satisfactory performance. Simulation results under industrial model 3GPP demonstrate our proposed approaches stationary even when users’ velocity reaches 120 km/h latency state information as large 16 ms.
