A new approach to endodontic access in anterior teeth - a pilot study

Abstract Introduction The coronal opening is essential, during endodontic treatment, for direct access to the root canals. Usually, in anterior teeth, achieved on palatal/lingual surface, more specifically cingulum region. However, lack of observation dental positioning can lead some accidents and complications, such as buccal perforations, causing esthetic damage compromising treatment. Objective To evaluate applicability a new approach performing regarding wear caused tooth crown, ease technique minimize risk perforation. Material method Ten students (n=10) from Improvement Endodontics program participated present study. Twenty artificial teeth were used, which upper, central incisors.
