چکیده

This study proposes a modular multilevel inverter for low-voltage applications, including ac-coupled renewables and energy storage systems. These inverters require many switches gate drivers in their structures, which complicates the control system, reduces efficiency, increases costs. introduces new that can produce five levels of positive voltage using only six power DC sources. The basic unit is composed single- double-source (SDS) unit. SDS number electronic components, such as insulated bipolar transistors, freewheeling diodes, driver circuits, dc sources, blocking by switches. proposed topology boost output decrease switching devices stress some combinations submodules. performance 11-level single-phase compared with conventional structures recent symmetric topologies considering switches, cost, efficiency. waveform quality both current harmonic characteristics were determined accordance IEEE 519–2014. Finally, an prototype was constructed to validate theoretical analysis, feasibility, effectiveness inverter.

A New Single-phase Symmetrical Cascade Multilevel Inverter with Low Number of Power Switches

In this paper a new 5-level single phase symmetrical cascade multi-level inverter is proposed. The proposed topology contains combination of unidirectional and bidirectional power switches based on output voltage level number. The number of power switches and withstanding voltage of powers witches were reduced related to the other topologies. This configuration can be extended to the n-level in...

A Modified Series Z-Source Inverter Based on Switched Inductors with High Voltage Gain and Reduced Voltage Stress on Capacitors

In this paper, a series Z-source inverter based on switched inductors cell is proposed for the first time. This inverter is able to increase the voltage gain in comparison to the conventional Z–source inverters in additon to solve the ST (shoot-through) state’s problems. In this inverter, the value of voltage gain is increased by increasing the number of used diodes and inductors in the switche...
