A No-Code Platform for Tie Prediction Analysis in Social Media Networks
نویسندگان
چکیده
Conventional methods for tie prediction analysis in social media networks are often code-intensive and encompass complex steps. Against this backdrop, we used design science research to develop a no-code platform. Our evaluation indicates that the platform significantly reduces complexity and, depending on network size, also total time. Moreover, it maintains accuracy similar of conventional, methods. Thus, our artifact substantially facilitates researchers practitioners.

Online Tie Formation in Enterprise Social Media
We study the antecedents to tie formation on an enterprise social media platform implemented to support cross-boundary connections. Research has produced mixed findings regarding the role of social media in cultivating bridging vs. closed networks. We examine the tie formation patterns of 1,386 enterprise social media users over a two-year period. We first find that users tend to form ties via ...

today, online social networks are very popular due to the possibility of creating relationships between people all over the world. these social networks with possibilities such as friend recommendation generally use local features derived from social graph structure. for friend recommendation, there are different algorithms with local and global approaches. in this paper, we proposed an algorit...
متن کاملEgocentric online social networks: Analysis of key features and prediction of tie strength in Facebook
The widespread use of online social networks, such as Facebook and Twitter, is generating a growing amount of accessible data concerning social relationships. The aim of this work is twofold. First, we present a detailed analysis of a real Facebook data set aimed at characterising the properties of human social relationships in online environments. We find that certain properties of online soci...
متن کاملAnalysis and Prediction of Dutch-English Code-switching in Dutch Social Media Messages
Multi-lingual phenomena as code-switching disturb widely used language interpretation tools, while the demand for such tools is rising due to the expanding worldwide popularity of online applications. This study explores code-switching between the lexically strong related languages Dutch and English in Twitter messages. Contrary to similar studies on code-switching, the focus is centred on the ...
متن کاملMeasuring tie-strength in virtual social networks
Tie-strength has been in the focus of social science research for decades, yet the use of measurement tools or scales has been relatively scarce. The aim of this study was to fill the gap and provide a tool that is able to provide a quantitative and continuous measure of tie strength in social networks. The focus was on virtual communities because the fast expansion of Internet use and the cons...
