A novel best worst method robust data envelopment analysis: Incorporating decision makers’ preferences in an uncertain environment

چکیده

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) has been widely applied in measuring the efficiency of Decision-Making Units (DMUs). The conventional DEA three major drawbacks: a) it does not consider Decision Makers’ (DMs) preferences evaluation process, b) DMUs this model are flexible weighting criteria to reach maximum possible efficiency, and c) ignores uncertainty data. However, many real-world applications, data uncertain as well imprecise managers want impose their opinions decision-making procedure. To address these problems, paper develops a novel multi-objective Best Worst Method (BWM)-Robust (RDEA) for incorporating DMs’ into an environment. proposed tries provide new score which is more reliable compatible with real problems by taking advantages BWM apply experts’ RDEA This bi-objective BWM-RDEA solved utilizing amin-max technique so illustrate its usefulness, implemented assessing Iranian airlines.

A model for productivity evaluation of hospital units based on data envelopment analysis and fuzzy best-worst

Introduction:   Today, there isgap between the potential of the health system and its current performance, which justifies the need to a performance appraisal model for the health sector. The purpose of this study is to provide a comprehensive performance evaluation model for assessing the performance of hospitals. Methods:   For this purpose, 12 hospitals under the supervision of Tehran Unive...

A regret theory approach to decision curve analysis: A novel method for eliciting decision makers' preferences and decision-making

BACKGROUND Decision curve analysis (DCA) has been proposed as an alternative method for evaluation of diagnostic tests, prediction models, and molecular markers. However, DCA is based on expected utility theory, which has been routinely violated by decision makers. Decision-making is governed by intuition (system 1), and analytical, deliberative process (system 2), thus, rational decision-makin...

Robust efficiency in data envelopment analysis with VRS technology

One of the fundamental problems in the classic DEA is lack of ability to distinguish unit's performance scores that is considered as a disadvantage. Recently, Parkan et al. [9] tried to address this problem.   They proposed to assess each unit both optimistic and pessimistic views are taken into account. In contrast to traditional evaluation, one index is considered for each unit based on the l...

Robust Data Envelopment Analysis

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a nonstochastic and nonparametric linear programming technique where a set of units are evaluated according to their input consumption and output production (Charnes et al. (1978)). Given that DEA efficiency analysis can be influenced by the presence of outliers, Banker and Chang (2006) proposed a method to detect atypical units through the super-efficiency mo...
