A Novel Compact Gysel Power Divider with Bandpass Filtering Responses

This study presents a novel compact design of the Gysel topology and filtering power divider (FPD) that utilizes coupling structure. The proposed replaces traditional four-quarter wavelength transmission lines with lumped components, resulting in significantly reduced circuit size. Furthermore, introduction this structure ensures integration division functions. Two zeros are created near passband to enhance frequency selectivity responses. Theoretical analysis is carried out, closed-form equations derived based on even–odd-mode method. To validate theory, three-port equal FPD operating at 2 GHz was designed fabricated. simulated measured results demonstrate has good splitting capability size 0.15 λg × 0.25 (λg medium central frequency), which significant reduction compared existing FPDs. presented verify theoretical derivation, demonstrating features, such as return loss greater than 15 dB, isolation an insertion about 4.02 dB (3 + 1.02 dB) passband.
