A novel image quality evaluation method based on two-dimensional information entropy

Abstract In image transmission, with the consideration of system parameters, such as bandwidth, transmission delay and power consumption, compression coding is often used to reduce amount transmitted data. The formation mechanism block effect in H.264 analyzed. Taking an example, spatial domain enhancement processing adopted paper obtain two-dimensional information entropy covering gray correlation edge feature adjacent domain. By referring evaluation value original coded image, quality result consistent PSNR method common situations. Compared traditional method, only refers data required very low. Therefor, it more suitable for engineering implementation real-time system. At same time, entropy, closer actual feeling human eyes than method.
