A novel integrated system for sustainable generation of hydrogen and liquid hydrocarbon fuels using the five-step ZnSI thermochemical cycle, biogas upgrading process, and solar collectors

The utilization of renewable energy sources such as solar and biogas have recently received more attention due to a decline in fossil environmental issues. A leading method for long-term energies storage is convert fuels hydrogen heavy value hydrocarbons. In this work, novel integrated structure developed sustainable cogeneration liquid hydrocarbon fuels. This consists the zinc-sulfur-iodine thermochemical cycle, treatment Fischer–Tropsch synthesis reactions, carbon dioxide power generation, dish collectors. It demonstrated that produces 359.8 kmol/h hydrogen, 116.8 fuels, 1714 monoxide, 289,149 hot water. thermal exergy efficiencies are 58.03% 44.34%, respectively. analysis illustrates destruction mostly occurs heat exchangers (36.67%), reactors (24.69%), collectors (20.25%). sensitivity demonstrates absorbed useful collector efficiency decrease up 9.735 kW 0.7751, respectively when average operating wall temperature each increases from 627 °C 1127 °C. productivity increase 0.63 383.6 kmol/h, with composition 40 mol% 55 mol%.
