A Real-Time Maximum Power Points Tracking Strategy Consider Power-to-Average Ratio Limiting for Wave Energy Converter

Based on the mechanical model of point absorption Wave Energy Converter (WEC), a real-time complex conjugate (CC) maximum power tracking (MPPT) control strategy consider peak-to-average ratio (PAR) limiting under irregular waves is proposed. In proposed MPPT strategy, system can not only track power, but also limit PAR output to improve controlled generator’s utilization rate. Two parameters, $R_{epot}$ and notation="LaTeX">$X_{pto}$ , that determine command current PMSG PAR, are introduced in mathematical system. And they identified by Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) algorithm. During each half cycle sea wave, parameters notation="LaTeX">$R_{pto}$ will be real time updated satisfy strategy. addition, notation="LaTeX">$A$ notation="LaTeX">$B_{\mathrm {rad}}$ notation="LaTeX">$F(\omega)$ related wave frequency calculated advanced quantitative analysis (AQWA) software. Finally, verified comparison simulation experimental results.
