A Review on BGK Models for Gas Mixtures of Mono and Polyatomic Molecules

چکیده

We consider the Bathnagar–Gross–Krook (BGK) model, an approximation of Boltzmann equation, describing time evolution a single momoatomic rarefied gas and satisfying same two main properties (conservation entropy inequality). However, in practical applications, one often has to deal with additional physical issues. First, does not consist only species, but it consists mixture different species. Second, particles can store energy translational degrees freedom also internal such as rotations or vibrations (polyatomic molecules). Therefore, here, we will present recent BGK models for mixtures mono- polyatomic existing mathematical theory these models.
