A SENSORLESS CONTROL METHOD OF THYRISTOR STATICAL FREQUENCY CONVERTER FOR STARTING SYNCHRONOUS MACHINE

Relevance of study. Starting the medium voltage synchronous machine at standstill is one main problems in operation unregulated electric drives. The optimal solution starting excited fed by thyristor statical frequency converter. A sensorless control converter for switching load-commutated inverter to functions angular rotor position area zero and low speed, has not yet received a clear solution.
 
 purpose this study design method startup under conditions acceleration uncertainty.
 Materials methods. Methods theory electrical machines computer mathematical simulation are used study.
 Results regularity between non-conductive phase stator determined. rotation angle defined as ratio conductive state duration arm pair period determined from machine. based on simultaneous scalar control, indirect determination cross-control channels. proposed tested system «thyristor –synchronous machine».
 Findings. application considered was found commercially available converters EKRA Ltd. can be different topology.
