Weighted Estimates for the Hilbert Transform of Odd Functions

The aim of the present paper is to characterize the classes of weights which ensure the validity of one-weighted strong, weak or extra-weak type estimates in Orlicz classes for the integral operator H0f(x) = 2 π ∫ ∞ 0 yf(y) x2 − y2 dy, x ∈ (0,∞).

A Sharp Estimate for the Hilbert Transform along Finite Order Lacunary Sets of Directions

Let D be a nonnegative integer and Θ ⊂ S1 be a lacunary set of directions of order D. We show that the Lp norms, 1 < p < ∞, of the maximal directional Hilbert transform in the plane HΘ f (x ) B sup v ∈Θ p.v. ∫ R f (x + tv ) dt t , x ∈ R 2, are comparable to (log #Θ) 2 . For vector elds vD with range in a lacunary set of of order D and generated using suitable combinations of truncations of Lips...

Bellman function , two weighted Hilbert transform , and embeddings of the model spaces

This paper is devoted to embedding theorems for the space Kθ, where θ is an inner function in the unit disc D. As we will see soon, the question of embedding of Kθ into L2(μ) is virtually equivalent to the boundedness of two-weight Hilbert transform. This makes the embedding question quite difficult (the general bondedness criteria of Hunt-Muckenhoupt-Wheeden type for two weight Hilbert transfo...

A sharp error estimate for the fast Gauss transform

We report an error estimate of the multi-dimensional fast Gauss transform (FGT), which is much sharper than that previously reported in the literature. An application to the Karhunen–Loeve decomposition in the three-dimensional physical space is also presented that shows savings of three orders of magnitude in time and memory compared to a direct solver. 2006 Elsevier Inc. WEIGHTED BMOcjJ SPACES AND THE HILBERT TRANSFORM

We obtain estimates for the distribution of values of functions Íll the weighted BMOq, spaces, BMO(R), that let us find equivalent norms. It is also obtained that a suitable redefinition of the HilbeÍt transform is a bounded operator from these spaces into themselves. This is achieved for a certain cIass of weights w.
