A single image dehazing method based on decomposition strategy

Outdoor haze has adverse impact on outdoor image quality, including contrast loss and poor visibility. In this paper, a novel dehazing algorithm based the decomposition strategy is proposed. It combines advantages of two-dimensional variational mode (2DVMD) dark channel prior. The original hazy adaptively decomposed into low-frequency high-frequency images according to frequency band by using 2DVMD algorithm. dehazed improved prior, then fused with image. Furthermore, we optimize atmospheric light transmittance estimation method obtain defogging effect richer details stronger contrast. proposed compared existing advanced algorithms.
