A Symmetric Function of Increasing Forests

نویسندگان

چکیده

Abstract For an indifference graph G , we define a symmetric function of increasing spanning forests . We prove that this satisfies certain linear relations, which are also satisfied by the chromatic quasisymmetric and unicellular $\textrm {LLT}$ polynomials. As consequence, give combinatorial interpretation coefficients polynomial in elementary basis (up to factor power $(q-1)$ ), strengthening description given [4].

Increasing human dominance of tropical forests.

Tropical forests house over half of Earth's biodiversity and are an important influence on the climate system. These forests are experiencing escalating human influence, altering their health and the provision of important ecosystem functions and services. Impacts started with hunting and millennia-old megafaunal extinctions (phase I), continuing via low-intensity shifting cultivation (phase II...

On Some Properties and Estimation of a Skew Symmetric Density Function

In this paper we consider a general setting of skew-symmetric distribution which was constructed by Azzalini (1985), and its properties are presented. A suitable empirical estimator for a skew-symmetric distribution is proposed. In data analysis, by comparing this empirical model with the estimated skew-normal distribution, we show that the proposed empirical model has a better fit in den...

Increasing turnover through time in tropical forests.

Tree turnover rates were assessed at 40 tropical forest sites. Averaged across inventoried forests, turnover, as measured by tree mortality and recruitment, has increased since the 1950s, with an apparent pantropical acceleration since 1980. Among 22 mature forest sites with two or more inventory periods, forest turnover also increased. The trend in forest dynamics may have profound effects on ...

Increasing forests and quadrangulations via a bijective approach

In this work, we expose four bijections each allowing to increase (or decrease) one parameter in either uniform random forests with a fixed number of edges and trees, or quadrangulations with a boundary having a fixed number of faces and a fixed boundary length. In particular, this gives a way to sample a uniform quadrangulation with n + 1 faces from a uniform quadrangulation with n faces or a ...
