A Synthetic Approach for Datacenter Power Consumption Regulation towards Specific Targets in Smart Grid Environment

With the large-scale grid connection of renewable energy sources, frequency stability problem power system has become increasingly prominent. At same time, development cloud computing and its applications attracted people’s attention to high consumption characteristics datacenters. Therefore, it was proposed use flexibility datacenters respond demand response signal smart maintain system. Specifically, this paper establishes a synthetic model that integrates multiple methods precisely control regulate datacenter while minimizing total adjustment cost. First, according overall datacenter, models servers cooling systems were established. Secondly, by controlling temperature, different kinds storage devices, load server characteristics, working process various regulation corresponding cost obtained. Then, penalty each method incorporated. Finally, dynamic approach used achieve goal accurately adjusting with least Through comparative analysis evaluation experiment results, can be observed better lower than other alternative methods.
