A Universal Power Flow Model for Dual Active Bridge-Based Converters With Phase Shift Modulation

In this article, a universal power flow model for the dual active bridge (DAB)-based dc-dc converters with phase-shift modulation is derived. The considers lossy components, dead time, and resonant commutations of converters. A partial parallel (P 2 DAB) converter generated from model. Based on calculations, plateau phenomenon antipower phenomenon, as well their causes influences are discussed. Because zero-reactive loss in lagging full bridge, zero-voltage turn all switches, zero-current commutation switches during plateau, hypothesis, which claims that more efficient operation than other modes, made. laboratory prototype P DAB constructed. analysis about verified, proposed hypothesis proved. Compared against measured power, has maximum error less 10%. Therefore, validity verified.
