A Version Control System for Point Clouds

This paper presents a novel version control system for point clouds, which allows the complete editing history of dataset to be stored. For each intermediate version, this stores only information that changes with respect previous one, is compressed using new strategy based on several algorithms. It undo/redo functionality in memory, serves optimize operation system. can also manage produced from third-party applications, makes it ideal integrated into typical Computer-Aided Design workflows. In addition automated management incremental versions cloud datasets, proposed has much lower storage footprint than manual backup approach most common workflows, essential when working LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) data context spatial big data.
