چکیده
Shale gas reservoir evaluation and production optimization both require geological models. However, currently, shale modeling remains relatively conventional does not reflect the unique characteristics of reservoirs. Based on a case study Fuling in China, an integrated workflow for reservoirs is proposed to facilitate its popularization application well improved quality comparability. This involves four types models: structure-stratigraphic model, (matrix) parameter natural fracture (NF) hydraulic (HF) model. The strategies used models vary due uniqueness A horizontal-well lithofacies sublayer calibration-based method employed build key building model lies joint characterization “sweet spots.” NF are built at various scales using methods. models, HF by extended simulation microseismic inversion. Review of Well Logs and Petrophysical Approaches for Shale Gas in Sichuan Basin, China
China has vast reserves of shale gas. Currently, shale gas is one of the focuses of the unconventional reservoir. Well logs play an import role in shale gas production, and it is the bridge connecting geology, geophysics and petroleum engineering. In the exploration stage, well logs are used to identify lithology, evaluate the parameters of mineral types and compositions, total organic carbon (...

Unconventional resources are typically very complex to model, and the production from this type of reservoirs is influenced by such complexity in their microstructure. This microstructure complexity is normally reflected in their geophysical response, and makes them more difficult to interpret. Rock physics play an important role to resolve such complexity by integrating different subsurface di...
متن کاملProduction Optimization in Shale Gas Reservoirs
Natural gas from organic rich shales has become an important part of the supply of natural gas in the United States. Modern drilling and stimulation techniques have increased the potential and profitability of shale gas reserves that earlier were regarded as unprofitable resources of natural gas. The most prominent property of shale gas reservoirs is the low permeability. This is also the reaso...
متن کاملGas Flow Behavior of Nanoscale Pores in Shale Gas Reservoirs
The gas transport in shale nanopores is always one of the major concerns in terms of the development of shale gas reservoirs. In this study, the gas flow regimes in shale nanopores were classified and analyzed according to Knudsen number. Then the gas flow model considering Darcy flow, slip flow, transition flow, molecular free flow and adsorption effect was proposed to evaluate the gas flow be...
متن کاملA numerical study of performance for tight gas and shale gas reservoir systems
Various analytical, semi-analytical, and empirical models have been proposed to characterize rate and pressure behavior as a function of time in tight gas and shale gas systems featuring horizontal wells with multiple hydraulic fractures. Despite a few analytical models, as well as a small number of published numerical studies, there is currently little consensus regarding the large-scale flow ...
